One C, Three Bs in Myrtle Beach Area Restaurant Inspections

Saturday, August 18, 2012, Myrtle Beach – Refrigerated food holding at 60 degrees (too warm), hot buffet food holding at 130 degrees (not hot enough), the presence of roaches, and a dirty fryer and hand sink contributed to a popular North Myrtle Beach Asian buffet earning a C rating at a recent health and safety inspection.
Ocean Garden Buffet had 23 violations in its unannounced inspection on Aug. 9, which resulted in a score of 76.
Three other Grand Strand restaurants earned B ratings this week due in part to employees not washing hands, excessive flies, dirty soda guns, dirty hood filters, a malfunctioning dish machine and a dirty cookline. If Original Shuckers Raw Bar at 300 N. Kings Highway doesn’t correct its critical violations by Aug. 24, the facility will be downgraded.
