Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, Myrtle Beach – Two Cook-Out restaurants are opening in the Myrtle Beach area.

The first will open this year in the Conway area. Amanda Stanley at the corporate office in North Carolina confirmed the opening but said she was not sure of the restaurant’s exact location. RestaurantActivityReport.com says, “A new 3,640 sqft location of Cook Out is scheduled to open at Highway 501 South in Conway, South Carolina.”

UPDATE April 2013: The location is 2470 U.S. 501 E. near the Comfort Suites Hotel, according to The Sun News.

Stanley also said the company plans to open a Cook-Out in Myrtle Beach in 2013.

Cook-Out is a privately owned chain of restaurants with more than 100 locations in North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and South Carolina. Morris Reaves in Greensboro, N.C., founded the company and Reaves’ son, Jeremy Reaves, is the CEO.

The menu is known for barbecue, burgers, chicken sandwiches and hot dogs at low prices. The company does not have a Web site for its restaurants, but there are two unofficial fan Web sites at www.cookoutnc.com and www.eatcookout.com.
