Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, Myrtle Beach – One Myrtle Beach restaurant and one in Conway are closed.

Sands Pizza & More, which was opened by Sherry Panks in early summer 2012 in the J. Mike Plaza off S.C. 707 in the Burgess/St. James area of Horry County, has been closed for two weeks. The furnishings are still inside, but the phone is disconnected.

Readers and nearby businesses are reporting that Mancuso’s Italian Restaurant at 117 Rivertown Blvd. is closed, and the phone number is not working. Mancuso’s, owned by Joe Mancuso who has had other area Italian restaurants, opened this location in mid-2011.
