Another Myrtle Beach Restaurant Closed

By Becky Billingsley
Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, Myrtle Beach – An Asian restaurant in the heart of Myrtle Beach has closed after a few months in business.
Red Basil, a Thai restaurant with sushi and a martini bar, opened in May at 1604 N. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. At the end of August a sign was on the front door saying it would reopen on Sept. 15, but it did not and now the business is for sale.
In 2011, that site housed Char Koon Oriental Restaurant, which closed after about two months in business. That made the third restaurant to open and close in that location within one year. The other two were Bar King Frog & Grill and J&B's Caribbean Cuisine.
