October Specials in the Pink

Logan's Roadhouse has special pink t-shirts during October with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society.

Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, Myrtle Beach – Many Myrtle Beach area restaurants and organizations are offering clothing, food and more in support of breast cancer awareness, prevention, early diagnosis and research.

Pink and black T-shirts featuring a crossword puzzle with a breast cancer awareness message are $10 each, and 100 percent of the price goes to the American Cancer Society. Also, the North Myrtle Beach location is sponsoring the Pink Poker Run: registration is at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.

The pyramid is pink all month, and inside the gift shop there are special Pinktober t-shirts, pins and tote bags with proceeds benefitting breast cancer research. Hard Rock also has a pink cocktail being sold during October called Tropical Tatas with Ciroc coconut vodka, Southern Comfort, Coco Real and Strawberry Puree. It comes in a large logo Hard Rock glass you get to keep, and a portion of its $13 price goes to breast cancer research.

New York Prime is giving away pink golf tees, and it also has a Pink Kiss Martini; half the purchase price goes to local charity.

 

Ride & Chili for Mammograms

Imaging Center, 4181 U.S. 17 Bypass S., Murrells Inlet, (843) 652-8000

 

This is a motorcycle ride that starts at the Imaging Center and goes to Georgetown County with one stop. Signup is between 9 and 11 a.m., and the ride starts at 11 a.m. It ends at the Beaver Bar County Line Pavilion on U.S. 17 Business in Murrells Inlet, with a chili cook-off at 2 p.m.. There will be prizes for the best chili, best bike and best dressed biker, plus an auction, raffle and music. Learn more HERE.

 

Rock the Ribbon
