UPDATE: The court date is now Nov. 13

civil conspiracy and other charges related to the name of Valentino Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria in Surfside Beach go to court.

That court date, Ginannone says, is Oct. 29.

The chef says 200 customers signed a complaint that will be introduced at court describing how they felt deceived when another restaurant a few blocks away changed its name from Cecil’s Italian Grill to Valentino’s II Italian Cuisine. They thought they were getting cuisine from Giannone and came away disappointed.
