Two Restaurants Closed

By Becky Billingsley
Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, Surfside Beach and Conway – Two restaurants, one in Surfside Beach and one in Conway, have closed.
The closed restaurant in Surfside Beach is Cool Daddy’s Bar & Grill at 670 U.S. 17 S. in Surfside Beach. Phil Salone opened it in May; he opened the first Cool Daddy’s about three years ago at 300 9th Ave. N. in Myrtle Beach, which also closed.
In recent years the Surfside Beach location has formerly been the site of Sopprafino Italian Restaurant, and before that a Mexican restaurant, and before that a Japanese restaurant.
The other closure is Might as Well Bar & Grill at 3505 S.C. 544, which has a Conway address and is near the intersection with U.S. 501. It opened in October 2009.
A staff member at the Wilmington location of Might as Well says the Conway closure is temporary, and it will reopen.
