Taste! Gourmet Show Debuting in May PDF Print E-mail

Tuesday, September 22, 2009, Myrtle Beach - A tasty new May event is coming to the Myrtle BeachConvention Center on May 14-16, and it has a focus on gourmet food, with a barbecue twist.
 
Taste! Gourmet Trade Show & Expo is being produced by KNB Productions, LLC, and Kara-Anne Serradimigni is the organizer. She has lined up celebrity chef demonstrations, ticketed food/beer/wine events, and an exhibition hall-style vendor event.

  • Television personality Rich Hollenberg will host the event.
  • Taste! will launch with a cocktail reception and chef auction with proceeds benefiting the Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Network.
  • Guy Fieri of the Food Network will do a cooking demonstration and attend a ticketed 160-seat VIP luncheon where he will sign copies of his cookbooks.
  • Fabio Viviano of  Bravo’s Top Chef will do a cooking demonstration and attend a ticketed 160-seat VIP luncheon where he will sign copies of his cookbooks. Tickets will also be sold for an “exclusive intimate dinner party” hosted by Chef Viviano.
  • Aaron McCargo, Jr., of the Food Network will do a cooking demonstration and will judge a barbecue competition at the Taste! event.
  • Darryl “Dr. Mixologist” Robinson of New York’s Hudson Bar will attend.
  • Myrtle Beach’s own Cecil Chandler of WBTW-Channel 13 is going to work with children to teach them cooking skills.
Other separately ticketed events will take place, although the ticket prices have not been named. One such event provides entry into “The Village,” where there will be beer, wine and a raw bar. Tickets will also be sold for the South Carolina Barbecue Association competition.
 
Inside the exhibition hall will be a Restaurant Row featuring area restaurants. These booths are available for 4-hour time slots and cost $220. Some slots for celebrity chefs are also available, and local interested chefs and restaurant owners can contact Serradimigni through her web site.
