Surfside Beach is known as “the family beach.”
But while Surfside Beach welcomes families, it also has a wide clean beach, a lack of big industry and civic dedication to keeping tight rein on development.
It’s a fun and relaxing town to live in or visit…and they have some great restaurants!

It's all about fresh local seafood here, from live blue crabs and whole fish you can cook yourself, or you can pick up one of Chef Louie's take-and-bake vaccum-sealed entrees such as Apricot Mahi Mahi or Tomato/Crab Strudel. They also have steampots full of crab, oysters, mussells, clams, potatoes and corn, and all you have to do is add liquid and simmer.
